EGSA Academic Publishing Forum
Dr. Stevens and Dr. Latham will be speaking and answering questions at EGSA’s last professional forum on Monday, April 15 at noon in the Zink Seminar room. Drs. Stevens and Latham will be explaining how to submit articles for publication in academic journals and strategies for getting your article accepted. As most of you know, Dr. Stevens edits Tulsa Studies in Women’s Literature and Dr. Latham edits the James Joyce Quarterly as well as The Modernist Journals Project, so they are both quite knowledgeable about this topic.
If you would like lunch, please RSVP to Ashley by Monday at noon if you would like a turkey, ham, or vegetarian sandwich on white or wheat bread.

Turning your dissertation into a book
Oxford UP editors Kevin Dettmar and Brian O’Neill will be discussing academic publishing and speaking about turning your dissertation into a book this Wednesday, February 20 at 2:30-3:30. The event will be held in the Dean’s Conference Room in Chapman Hall, which is located on the first floor, beside the main office. Refreshments will be provided. The event is open to English faculty and graduate students.

EGSA Spring Career Forum
EGSA will be hosting its second Spring Career Forum on Monday, March 4 at noon in the Zink Seminar Room. Dr. Fuller will be speaking about strategies for teaching difficult texts in the classroom. Lunch will be provided for those who RSVP by this Friday, February 15 with their sandwich preference (turkey, ham, or vegetarian).

EGSA Spring Career Forum
EGSA will be hosting the first Spring career forum of the semester on Monday, February 25 at 12-12:50 in the seminar room. Dr. Jackson will be speaking about conferences. He will talk about how to find conferences, how to apply for them, and how to prepare a conference paper. Lunch will be provided for those who RSVP by Monday, February 11. In your RSVP, please indicate your sandwich preference: ham, turkey, or veggie and white or wheat bread.
